In 2009 I took an image of Wahclella Falls with Columbia Kittentails in the foreground that took a bit of a scramble onto a boulder that I had to flirt with the edge of. In 2015 I had an ear surgery that didn’t go as well as intended, and I just don’t have the balance I used to. For this image of Wahclella, I took the easy road to the base of the falls and took a more traditional composition.

If you visit the gorge, I highly recommend this waterfall. You have to hike a mile, or so, in, but it’s an easy hike and the crowds that haunt the falls closer to the road thin out here.
