In 2013,my good friend Gary Muncy and I were pouring over Sedona, Arizona, area maps looking for places to bicycle and hike. One of the spots we considered including in a loop was Red Rock Crossing. I didn't recognize the name, but Gary said "You know it; that's where everybody takes a photo." Well, that was enough to bait me. We rode by this spot on a ride from Boynton Canyon, and playing with a compass we realized that the sun might come up behind Cathedral Rock. I went back the next day and captured this.
