The Thing
In 2025 my family rented a home on the Oregon Coast in Lane County. Walking the beach with my dog, I came across an area where a small stream was running off the embankment and depositing colorful sand as it flowed to the ocean. The ripples of the stream made fascinating patterns that were constantly changing.
