A storm was blowing in the afternoon some friends and I backpacked in to our camp on Mount Hood. It had just started to snow and the wind was picking up when I took this image. It was darkening as the heavy clouds began to pass, giving an almost twilight feel to the scene. As the clouds passed sunlight would come and go, hitting the snow in patches like a search light. Not long after this image, the clouds moved in and wiped the mountain from view. We hiked out the next day in a heavy snowfall.
